Chuck began practicing yoga in August of 2005 at the suggestion of a friend. As his practice progressed and grew to include meditation and pranyama he found awareness, peace and contentment that has changed his life. His greatest desire is to honor his teachers by sharing what he has experienced with others through teaching. Chuck took his first yoga teacher training at Blue Moon Yoga in 2007 and began teaching soon thereafter. In August of 2009, he took a 12-day teacher training with Dharma Mittra at the Omega Institute. He completed his Anusara teacher training with Carmel Calcagno and Dina Crosta in February 2012. He teaches an Anusara-inspired hatha yoga with alignment. He is alo trained in yoga nidra and leads sessions locally. Chuck felt an affinity for the sweet teachings of Tantric scholar Dr. Douglas Brooks the first time he studied with him. He has studied frequently with Douglas and traveled with him to Tamilnadu in southern India in December 2012. His experiences in India were amazing and will be working on him for a long time to come.

Marga Cava, PhD, E-RYT 200, started practicing yoga in high school, and it quickly became an integral part of her life. While studying Romance languages and living abroad, she studied with Iyengar masters and Buddhist and Tantric philosophers. After returning to the U.S., Marga began studying Anusara yoga with John Friend, Emily Huresky, Regina Grassia, and others. Her gurus and their method inspired her to begin teaching in 1999. More recently, Marga completed Wisdom Warrior Teacher Training with Desirée Rumbaugh and Karen Church. Marga bows in gratitude to all her teachers (family and friends) that have guided her on her journey.
As a Registered Yoga Alliance and Anusara-inspired teacher, Marga strives to facilitate a deeper understanding of bio-mechanical alignment and help her students tap into their inner wisdom and true light. Now, as co-founder of Align Amar Yoga, yoga instructor and high school teacher, she hopes to enrich her community by offering the practice of yoga, meditation, and mindful living.

Christine loves teaching yoga to all, but always feels a special connection to those who initially thought yoga wasn’t “for them." Her classes are alignment based yet flow fluidly, a balance of strength and ease. Christine's personality is heavily represented in her teaching style - sincere, straight-forward, and light-hearted, with a healthy dose of humor sprinkled in. Christine completed her initial 200 hour Teacher Training in January 2015 at YogaWorks in Los Angeles. Since then, she has trained in Restorative Yoga, Yin Yoga, yoga with a trauma-sensitive approach, and is currently advancing her certification to the 500-hour level. Christine believes that yoga is for every body, and that the flow we find on our mats guides us to greater presence, awareness and connection within our lives off the mat. www.christinedates.com

Regina was drawn to the introspection her first yoga class provided. She felt the value of being able to observe one's own mental and emotional processes. In a day and age when the focus can be very external, this was the practice she needed and gravitated towards to provide balance in her life. Her mission is to help spark the light in others and fan their fire through Yoga, to help uncover the divine that lives in everyone, and to bring an awareness to the sea of consciousness that we are all a part of. Regina's classes bring harmony to the mind, body, and soul by connecting students to their deep personal power and strength through breath, alignment, mindfulness, & meditation. "When we feel strong, secure, and spacious in our own body & mind, it is then that we can find the courage to walk our Heart's Path.” Regina's classes will leave you feeling strong, open, rejuvenated, and tension free. Regina has completed two 200 hour YTT programs, one in June 2012 and the other in May 2015. She completed Yoga Nidra Level 1 Certification with Swami Shantimurti Saraswati in October 2013, and two seperate 30 hour refresh & refine (Anusara) courses with Carmel Calcagno & Dina Crosta. To Be Continued… always a student, the eternal Guru within.

Gabrielle has had a passion for music and movement since her pigtail years. After over a decade-long journey in competitive sports, she realized that her body needed another movement form. Curiosity brought her to experiment with flamenco, ballet, jazz, improvisational dance, the 5Rhythms®, Ashtanga yoga, and then, in 2009, Nia. The elegant blending of 9 movement forms, the body awareness, and the delightful soundtracks makes the Nia Technique® her favorite practice. Her commitment to Nia brought her to complete the Nia White Belt Training in 2012, and the Nia Blue Belt Training in 2014. She has been sharing this holistic practice since 2013 in various studios and gyms throughout Monmouth County.

After practicing for over 20 years, James committed to a 200 hour teacher training program in 2013. He chose alignment based Hatha, as he saw this as a way to help both himself and others practically both on and off the mat. Subsequently, he received his advanced 300 hour teacher training with Abhaya Yoga in DUMBO Brooklyn NY. His mixed and long training history has given James the unique perspective of combining different lineages and styles of yoga into his own practice and teachings. James also frequently relies on his real world experiences as a single father and a business leader to draw from. James does his best to give simple and practical messages from the old world teachings that can be applied every day both on the mat and off, no matter the level of the practitioner. Most of all, he looks to help people feel better and live as fully as they can.

“If you can breathe, you can do yoga,” as Sri Krishnamacharya said, epitomizes Barbara’s teaching philosophy. This view stems from her extensive training in the lineage of Sri Krishnamacharya. Experienced, certified and well trained, she is focused on making this practice available to all, and she has the skill to tailor the practice to each individual. She started practicing in 1984 and began teaching in 2001. Barbara has since studied yoga therapeutics extensively with JJ Gormley, in the tradition of Sri Krishnamacharya and TKV Desikachar, becoming a certified yoga therapist (1200-hour program) in 2013. In 2017 she earned the designation C-IAYT from the International Association of Yoga Therapists.  She also is E-RYT500 certified.  Her studies are ongoing and include a 2-week internship at the Krishnamacharya Yoga Mandiram, Chennai, India in December 2014. In addition to general mixed level classes, since 2002 Barbara has been teaching yoga to people with mobility and balance concerns including those dealing with: Multiple Sclerosis, Parkinson’s, arthritis, brain injuries, cancer, structural issues (e.g., shoulder, wrist, hand, hip, knee, ankle, spine, etc.). Breath awareness is an integral part of all classes, as is moving toward an overall body awareness - learning to listen to the "teacher within" that we each have. She encourages students to maintain their sense of humor and develop their own personal expression of yoga poses while working in a comfortable, safe environment.

Karen began her journey over 10 years ago, after a long illness, as a way to move toward physical fitness again. She discovered the amazing ability of yoga to connect the mind, body and spirit and to heal the individual on multiple levels. She completed her first teacher training program with Sri Dharma Mittra in New York where she also taught. Karen took her first Anusara class shortly after her son was born and found a true love in this style and the teachers she has met. It is a challenging style that is accessible to everyone. She completed an Anusara teacher training several years ago. Her aim to creatively inspire and empower all her students and she believes every day is an opportunity to play and celebrate the joy of life. She also holds a black belt in Tae Kwon Do and is prenatal certified.

Karin (RYT-500) has been teaching yoga and meditation since 2008. She took her first yoga class 20 years ago seeking relief from low back and neck pain. Karin found not only relief from pain, but a transformative practice that continues to positively impact every aspect of her life. In her classes, Karin celebrates the individuality of each student and strives to make classes unique, fun and empowering. Within the framework of thoughtful sequencing and safe alignment cues, Karin creates a warm, nonjudgmental sense of community where students are free to explore and challenge themselves. In both yoga and meditation, Karin offers a variety of approaches, encouraging a sense of curiosity so that each student can determine for themselves what feels best. As a teacher Karin’s goal is to help students discover the quiet wisdom within so they may move through life on and off the mat with greater ease, freedom and resilience. Karin teaches yoga, yoga nidra, meditation, relaxation, mindfulness and somatic movement in public, private and corporate classes and workshops throughout Monmouth county. www.karinweinsteinyoga.com
